I grew up with the practice of writing down thank you notes after I receive gifts from friends and relatives. And lately, I’ve been quite accustomed to writing down notes and adding a little extra like a set of Personalized White Wine Coaster Set along with it. I like receiving gifts as much as I give them.
In the years that I’ve been doing this, I’ve learned that the best thank you notes are usually much more appreciated when it is handwritten down than via e-mail. Some points you could consider when writing one may also include these suggestions:
1. Make sure that you specify the item you are thankful for in the gift. Also make sure you write down the names of the giver correctly. They took the time out to buy these gifts to you, so this kind of acknowledgement should make it more personal and sincere.
2. Always send out a thank you note, even if it’s been two weeks past. While it is, of course, most ideal to send one as soon as possible, it’s better to send it late than give no thank you note at all. It’s good manners to do so.
3. Keep it simple and concise, for as long as you say how much you are delighted about the present you received.
